At First...

Try giving the chef prodigy a Mushroom, but not a Super `Shroom. She'll bake up a wonderful delight. +6 HP +2 FP

A Dried 'Shroom may be awful... but not as bad as an icky mistake, at least by look. Somehow, it works out like this: +1 HP +1 FP Hey, better than just +1 HP!

After the Cook Book

Any kind of mushroom with any kind of syrup/jelly work together. Try a Super 'Shroom and a Maple Syrup. +10 HP +10 FP
Another great recipie is a Mushroom and a Super Mushroom. +15 HP +5 FP

Preparing for Bowser

The Ultra Shroom and Jammin' Jelly go together like bread and butter... so try it out. +50 HP +50 FP
