Samus Aran and Captain Falcon

Samus Aran

Samus is the eigth warrior you'll have to pass in order to move on. Shield from all o' Samus' attacks, and you'll be okay--just don't forget to toss her into the acid a lot.

Planet Zebes' acid flow rises sometimes, so hop up to the top platform when you see it start. Be sure to knock everyone in the acid and watch out for your enemies' attempts to do so.

As Samus, you'll rely on your defense.
A+Up(Smash): Upward Fire Shot
Use this to keep opponents in the air and get a crowd away from you.
Anti: Move out o' the way.

A+Up(Normal): 360 Kick
Use this to knock away crowds, too, but it's stronger.
Anti: Shield.

A+Side(Smash): Super Club
The Super Club should be used to keep opponents off the playing field.
Anti: Shield.

A+Side(Normal): Low Kick
Only for desperate situations.
Anti: Jump.

A+Down(Smash): 360 Trip
Just Like Mario's Trip.
Anti: Roll away.

A+Down(Normal): Trip
A one-sided 360 Trip.
Anti: Roll away.


A: Punch
A Twice: Club
A+Dash: Charge
Only use this to stop attacks like Falcon's Falcon Punch.
Anti: Counter with a stronger attack.


Mid-air: A: Kick
Has Link's, but is more powerful than Link's.
Anti: Counter with a strong attack.

Mid-air: A+Forward: Fire Shot
Use this to pile much damage on your foes.
Anti: Shield if possible.

Mid-air: A+Back: Slash Kick
A very strong hit. Use this when you want to knock someone off.
Anti: Go under.

Mid-Air: A+Up: Drill Kick
Use this on opponents on a platform above you.
Anti: Jump up. Mid-air: A+Down: Down Punch

Jump off the edge o' the playing field to knock someone down using this, then double and triple jump back onto the field.
Anti: Double- or triple-jump over or under.


B: Charge Shot
Charge it up, but for no purpose(at that point). Just have it ready when you think you'll need it.
Anti: Shield.

B+Up: Screw Ball
Only use this in mid-air. A good Drill Kick substitute.
Anti: Kick back.

B+Down: Spider Ball Bomb
Lay multiple Spider Ball Bombs at a time. Since they help you stay in the air, this is a good way to spread bombs over everyone. Also a good attack to counter an aerial attack coming from below.
Anti: Run away from where the bombs are dropped.


R: Throw
Same as Link.
Anti: Hop up.

Captain Falcon

Captain Falcon will challenge you only after you beat the one-player tournament in any difficulty under twenty minutes.

Get Captain Falcon out by constantly throwing him in Planet Zebes' acid.

A+Up(Smash): Arm Smash
Not as powerful as it's needed to be, but it'll do in a snap.
Anti: Hit with a hard down attack.

A+Up(Normal): 360 Kick
Stronger, but slightly slower, than Samus'.
Anti: Shield.

A+Side(Smash): Flame Kick
This can be used in almost any situation, but ideal for keeping triple-jumpers away.
Anti: Jump over, under, or before.

A+Side(Normal): Kick
Use this when you aren't sure when a triple jumper could come in your range.
Anti: Same.

A+Down(Smash): Trip
This sends a foe flying upward, which then leaves them vulnerable to aerial attacks.
Anti: Come down quickly by tapping down on the analog control stick.

A+Down(Normal): Quick Low Hit
This sends a foe out fast and hard.
Anti: Shield or jump, then attack back with a stronger dash attack.


A: Punch
A Twice: Punch
A Thrice: Knee
A Multiple: Barage Punches
A+Dash: Slide
Get back into the fight using this.
Anti: Shield or jump.


Mid-air: A: Kick
A long range with a strong attack. Usable in any aerial confrontation.
Anti: None. ^ ^0

Mid-air: A+Forward: Double Kick
Strike many foes in the air with one hit. The only drawback is that it's not as strong as Falcon's other aerial attacks.
Anti: Hit back with a stronger attack.

Mid-air: A+Back: Back Punch
Stronger than, but with less range than Kick, this sends an enemy far.
Anti: Try to jump over and bonk Falcon on the head.

Mid-Air: A+Up: Loop Kick
If the other fighter is above you, they'll fly up(a good star finisher). If they're behind and above you, they'll go backwards. Better than the Back Punch.
Anti: Go under and hit from there. Mid-air: A+Down: Force Stomp

Jump off the edge o' the playing field to knock someone down using this, then double and triple jump back onto the field.
Anti: Double- or triple-jump over or under.


B: Falcon Punch
Jump to where others are and in mid-jump start this so that when you land you hit everyone there.
Anti: Shield, or attack with a quicker attack to stunt it.

B+Up: Falcon Dive
Falcon graps a foe, and knocks them away.
This is a good attack to send everyone away wih. After you hit one person, you can hit another.
Anti: Kick back.

B+Down: Falcon Kick
On the ground, this goes over a large area and one can hurt many in this way. Or, from the air, you can dive-bomp another.
Anti: Shield, jump, or dash.


R: Throw
CF throws someone straight down which acts as a Trip, or the back throw throws far.
Anti: Press down on the joystick and do a heavy attack on him when he sends you up, and when he sends you far away, act as you normally would.
