Are you dumb or something? That reads ''M'', then ''B'', then the G-O-L-D is Gold. Say it with me: ''MB Gold''. Yay!

I'm so pathetic I hafta make a Top Site List just so that I can be #1 one somewhere, and that somewhere happens to be a place only five sites know about.

Super Mario World

I've looked at the trophies in Japanese, and here are some interesting tidbits:

  • They list Mario vs. Wario before Super Mario Land 2 under Wario's trophy. Could Mario vs. Wario have introduced him?
  • They note the Clap Trap to be in Donkey Kong Country 3. I've noticed that in every USA game the creature's name changes...
  • The Bullet Bill trophy calls it just an oversized Bullet Bill. In Japanese, however, if I know what I was doing, it was credited to be the Banzai Bill.
  • The regular Coin trophy has a star in it, which is a changed design in Super Mario 64 from the rest of the previous series. In Japanese, they list its appearance in Super Mario 64, taking note of the change.
  • After looking at the Final Destination trophy, I have reason to believe Super Smash Brothers Melee's Japanese name is Smash Brothers DX (which we all know to be false).
  • Apparently there is a Metroid for Famicom Disk System(FCD) (NES being called the Famicom in Japan--this Disk System was a failed attempt never to move from its homeland) without Samus' ship. A Link game for FCD is also suggested. Also remember that I saw no plain cartridge Famicom releases under the games for either.

Don't go around spreading these, I have no way to tell if they are true or not (I don't read Japanese, mainly).

"Zelda and Metroid were first released on the Famicom Disk System before being ported to cartridge." -Fire Mario, from the board

  • Quote for now: "We were... ...miserable, and we liked it fine that way!" -"Weird Al" Yankovic, Off the Deep End, "When I was Your Age"
